1. Operation master
A treatment change is effective-dated, authorised, and checked against active product routes and published plans.
2. Resource requirement masters
Operator requirements
| Requirement | Attached to | Planning use |
|---|---|---|
| Direct Cut | Cut operation | Direct operator capacity |
| Direct Sew | Sewing operation | Direct operator capacity |
| Direct Postsew | Postsewing operation | Direct operator capacity |
| Direct Polypack | Polypack operation | Direct operator capacity |
Machine requirements
| Requirement | Attached to | Planning use |
|---|---|---|
| Lockstitch | Relevant planned operation | Compatible machine capacity |
| Flatlock | Relevant planned operation | Compatible machine capacity |
| Button sew | Relevant planned operation | Compatible machine capacity |
Requirements are not route operations and do not identify a named employee or physical machine. Later screens assign dated available people and machines by line.
3. 400 · Sewing definition
Each operation keeps its own work-content unit. SAM and pieces/hour can coexist in the same route. Planner requires an approved UOM conversion only when a comparison or roll-up needs one.
4. Unit conversion factors
Fabric Issue is a scheduled material-readiness operation in this sample. The factor belongs to the product route/material-consumption record, never to a universal kg master.
20 kg = 50 panels using the approved route factor.
Panel-to-garment uses a product construction factor. SAM-to-pieces/hour is an approved operation/product target using work content, productive minutes and resources; it is not a generic UOM conversion.
5. Actual progress and WIP protection
The source determines the available detail. When colour and size are supplied, Planner protects WIP at that same grain.
Available WIP: -1. The imported row is retained for correction and cannot change the operational position.
Correction needed: reconcile the predecessor actual for this colour/size position before accepting the successor update.
6. Safeguards
- Actual imports are idempotent and keep source row, timestamp, and correction evidence.
- A blocked negative-WIP row never silently changes a published plan or operational actual.
- Parallel processing is an authorised route rule, initially available only for Print and Embroidery.
- Users need master-data authority to change treatment, UOM conversion, resource requirements, or parallel status.
